Hello and welcome to AIM Behavioral Health. My name is Alex and I’m a clinical psychologist licensed in Washington state. As you consider options for starting, or continuing, with the therapeutic process I’d like to offer some information about my training, who I am, and the services I provide. Therapy is an incredibly vulnerable and, at times, challenging experience. It is important to work with a provider you trust and is responsive to your needs.
For over a decade I have developed expertise in evidence-based interventions aimed at increasing emotion regulation and addressing symptoms associated with trauma, anxiety, mood, and personality disorders. My work is grounded in the principles of behaviorism and takes a present focused approach to address barriers and help individuals cultivate a full and rewarding life. This work is done in conjunction with building an understanding of past experiences, biological pre-dispositions, social-cultural impacts, and the way your environment has affected you.
Below you will find information related to my education, training, and philosophy as well as common diagnoses I work with and therapeutic interventions I draw from. If you think I would be a good fit for your needs please reach out to schedule a complimentary 15-20 minute consultation where I will gladly answer any additional questions related to my training, experience, and therapeutic approach.

Philosophy
I believe therapy is most effective when the clinician and client come together and work collaboratively. You are the expert on your life and experience and my role is to provide support and tools for change rooted in the principles of behaviorism. I strive to maintain humility, curiosity, and direct communication in the therapeutic space. I believe in holding an actively anti-racist stance, providing gender affirming care, and operating from a lens of body neutrality.
Outside of session I enjoy reading, traveling, critters of most all types, and spending time with my very enthusiastic dog, Eli.
