Compassionate Evidence-Based Therapy

Get to know your provider: Dr. Ivey

Hello, I’m a clinical psychologist licensed in Washington state. My focus is pointed at supporting individuals in building an understanding of their emotional experience and how it is impacted by their internal world and the world around them. With over a decade of clinical experience and specialized training in full-model DBT, DBT informed care, and other evidence-based interventions, I aim to support you in building a life aligned with your values and filled with freedom of choice.

Getting Started

  • Consultation

The process starts with a 15-20 minute conversation. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy and if my skills would be a good fit.

  • Intake

The intake appointment lasts 90-120 minutes. During this time, I will gather a detailed history of your life and experiences, ask about your goals for treatment, and share my initial thoughts on the path our work together will take.

  • Orientation & Connection

The next 3-4 sessions are used to clarify goals, provide further detail about the therapy I provide, and allow time for you to get to know my style. Try it out and decide if it’s a good fit for you and your needs.

  • Therapy

Ongoing sessions are typically weekly and run for 50 minutes. Adjustments are available depending on your treatment needs. Assessment will continue to be a part of our work to ensure we remain aligned with your treatment goals.

Telehealth

Connecting with meaningful therapy doesn’t have to be limited by your location or inconvenienced by a commute time. I currently offer all sessions through a secure, HIPAA-compliant, video platform allowing for flexibility, convenience, and accessibility. Current research shows that there is no significant difference in treatment outcomes between in-person and virtual therapy.
